TechTV
Rose grew up in Las Vegas and studied computer science at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, leaving to work in tech. He became a host on TechTV’s The Screen Savers.
Digg
In 2004 he launched Digg, where users voted news stories up or down. It became one of the most visited sites, and Rose appeared on a 2006 BusinessWeek cover. Reddit later overtook it.
Revision3 and podcasts
He co-founded Revision3, an internet TV network, and hosted podcasts such as Diggnation.
Investor
He was a partner at Google Ventures and True Ventures and founded the meditation app Oak and Moonbirds NFTs. In 2025 he and Alexis Ohanian bought back and relaunched Digg.
