Background
Resig studied computer science at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
jQuery
Frustrated by differences between browsers, he released jQuery in January 2006 at BarCamp NYC. Its short syntax for selecting and changing page elements — “write less, do more” — made it the most popular JavaScript library for years.
Mozilla and Khan Academy
Resig worked as a JavaScript evangelist at Mozilla, then joined Khan Academy in 2011, where he led front-end development and built its interactive programming lessons.
Japanese art
He is also a scholar of Japanese woodblock prints and created Ukiyo-e.org, a searchable database of prints.
