Background
Bhusri, the son of Indian immigrants, studied electrical engineering and economics at Brown University and earned an MBA at Stanford.
PeopleSoft
He joined PeopleSoft in 1993 and became vice-chairman, working closely with its founder Dave Duffield.
Workday
After Oracle’s hostile takeover of PeopleSoft in 2005, Bhusri and Duffield founded Workday to build HR software for the cloud. It went public in 2012.
