He founded 3721, a Chinese-language web address service sold to Yahoo! in 2003, and briefly ran Yahoo China.
Qihoo 360
In 2005 he co-founded Qihoo 360. Its free 360 Safeguard antivirus disrupted paid rivals. The company listed in New York in 2011 and moved to Shanghai’s market in 2018.
The “3Q war”
In 2010 a fight with Tencent over software compatibility forced users to choose between QQ and 360. He later invested in AI models.
