Siebel Systems
Founded in 1993, Siebel Systems made software for managing sales and customer relationships and became one of the fastest-growing companies of the 1990s. Oracle bought it in 2006.
C3.ai
In 2009 he founded C3 Energy, later C3.ai, which sells AI software to businesses and the US military. It went public in 2020; he stepped down as CEO in 2025 for health reasons.
Philanthropy
His foundation funds the Montana Meth Project, energy research and scholarships.
