Biography
Background
Arora grew up in Delhi, the son of an Indian Air Force officer, and studied electrical engineering at IIT (BHU) Varanasi. He earned an MBA at Northeastern University and a master’s in finance at Boston College.
Telecoms and Google
After Fidelity and Deutsche Telekom’s T-Motion, he joined Google in 2004 to run Europe and became senior vice-president and chief business officer.
SoftBank
In 2014 Masayoshi Son made him president of SoftBank, with a record pay package. He left in 2016.
Palo Alto Networks
As CEO from 2018 he shifted the company to cloud security and acquisitions, making it one of the largest security companies.
