Biography
Early life
Masaba is the daughter of actress Neena Gupta and West Indian cricket great Vivian Richards. Raised by her mother in Mumbai, she trained in music and dance before studying fashion at SNDT Women’s University.
Designer at nineteen
She debuted at Lakmé Fashion Week in 2009 at nineteen, and her prints of cows, matchboxes, cameras and other everyday objects quickly became recognisable. She was creative director of the brand Satya Paul from 2012 to 2015.
House of Masaba
Her label, House of Masaba, has grown into clothing, jewellery and the beauty brand LoveChild, sold online and in stores across India.
Masaba Masaba
In the Netflix series Masaba Masaba (2020–2022) she played a fictionalised version of herself alongside her mother. She married actor Satyadeep Misra in 2023; their daughter was born in 2024.
