Mary Meeker is an American venture capitalist and former Wall Street analyst known as the “Queen of the Internet”. Her annual Internet Trends presentations tracked the growth of the web and mobile. She founded the venture firm BOND in 2019.

Meeker grew up in Indiana, studied psychology at DePauw University and earned an MBA at Cornell.
Morgan Stanley
As a Morgan Stanley analyst she worked on the Netscape IPO in 1995 and published the influential Internet Report (1996). Her bullish calls made her famous during the dot-com boom, and criticised after the crash.
Internet Trends
From 1995 her annual slide decks charted internet and mobile usage, becoming must-read documents in Silicon Valley.
Venture capital
She joined Kleiner Perkins in 2010 to lead growth investing and founded BOND in 2019, investing in companies such as Spotify, Airbnb and Facebook earlier. In 2025 she published a major report on AI.
